More than just a tasting
I expected a simple tasting, but it turned into a really interesting introduction to Korean spirits. The premium soju selections were excellent.

Free cancellationJoin a soju tasting at a distillery in Seoul at Samhae Soju, a place with over 1,000 years of history. Tasting conducted by rice wine expert Sam near Hongdae (Hongik University Station)
Our premium soju has a strength range of 45~50%. I welcome anyone who has curiosity, but if you don't usually like strong spirits like tequila and whiskey, I recommend another tasting dedicated to a lighter spirit called Makgeolli. Google "Rice wine tasting with sommelier - the best Makgeolli and Soju."
Korean alcohol is much more than just a green bottle of soju, which is watered-down ethanol with artificial sweetener. In general, Korean alcoholic drinks are divided into Tak-ju (unfiltered/makgeolli), Cheon-ju (filtered), and Seo-ju (spirit). Here we will focus on our signature dish, soju, but will try other types as well.
Samhae Soju was a favorite drink among the noble class of the Joseon Dynasty (1392~1894), and this luxurious soju became a cult favorite. The current master, Hyeonjeong Kim, studied and practiced for over 10 years with Master Taeksan Kim, who inherited and kept the recipe in the family. We will have the privilege of tasting this story.
